TB-500 is a synthetic analog of thymosin-beta-4 (TB4), a regenerative peptide that is natural to most animal and human cells. TB4 is made of 43 amino acids and is central to the wound healing process, primarily through its modulation of cellular migration and promotion of vascular growth. It is released by platelets and macrophages upon injury to reduce inflammation, cellular damage, and risk of infection.
